Marc Archuleta, originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, has been proud to call Houston home since 1996. He brings over 24 years of industry experience in the real estate community to the closing table. He has been in the Title Insurance Industry since 2005 and has been with Chicago Title since 2011. Prior to 2005 he worked in mortgage banking, as both a mortgage loan officer and a mortgage-loan underwriter. In New Mexico, he also worked for a private real estate appraisal firm. He credits his success in the title insurance industry with an ability to intuitively listen to the expectations of a client, and then utilize that as a benchmark to operate at an even higher standard than what has been requested. He does not want to simply meet a client’s expectations, he wants to exceed them. He also enjoys handling difficult scenarios and transactions with complicated title issues. He believes in the adage that “experience is the best teacher” and that “the difficult transactions are the transactions that ultimately make you better.”
Solutions and results are his ultimate goal, and he is not afraid of a challenge.
In addition to real estate, he enjoys the arts and culture that Houston has to offer, good books, new restaurants, and he is a huge tennis-fanatic. He attended the University of Tulsa, where he majored in Business Administration. He is also a veteran of the United States Navy, having served aboard the USS Blue Ridge, the Flagship of the US Seventh Fleet. He also served as a Chair Umpire for the International Tennis Federation, and worked with a contingent of American umpires, at 7 US Opens, Wimbledon, Davis Cup, and many other international events throughout Latin America and Asia. He also served as the Chief Umpire/Referee for the River Oaks International Tennis Tournament from 2002-2005.
